ODESSA Lynda Donham Monsimer, 59, of Odessa, died December 8, 2008, at Hospice House.
She was born June 15, 1949, to Horace Donham and Thelma Holt Donham in Odessa, Texas.
Lynda graduated from Odessa High School in 1967. She attended Stephens College in Missouri. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-day Saints.
She was preceded in death by her parents Horace Spec Donham and Thelma Holt Donham Jennings.
She is survived by her close friend, Robert Cade "Bob" Farmer of Albany, Texas; son, J. D. Monsimer of Las Cruces, New Mexico; sister, Dee Ann Wooldridge of Fort Worth, Texas; brother, David Donham and wife, Linda, of Odessa; one niece, D.J. Wooldridge-Qureshi and husband, Eddie, of Lewisville; two nephews, Sam Donham and Walter Donham and wife, Angie, of Odessa; three grandnephews, Aspen Wooldridge-Qureshi and Kamran Wooldridge-Qureshi of Lewisville, Texas, and Logan Donham of Odessa.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 11, 2008, at Frank W. Wilson Funeral Chapel with Clydel Chapman officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Services entrusted to Frank W. Wilson Funeral Directors.

NOTE: The headstone gives her middle name, "Kay". What you all need to know is that Lynda completely and totally despised her middle name and dumped it by age 11, with Mother's blessing. She never used it except when forced to by some governmental agency or by an uncaring person who wished to torment and/ or torture her. It should never have been put on her headstone.
