Michael, age 45, of Columbus, died Tuesday at home following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born the son of Lloyd and BurnaDeane (Kuehnemann) Quamme. He was a graduate of St. Joseph Catholic School and Waterloo High School, 1982. Following graduating from high school, Mike lived in Johnson Creek and worked for High Life Rubber Co. until 1989. He then attended the International Air Academy in St. Louis, MO. Upon graduation he was employed by Pinnacle Airlines as a flight attendant from 1991-2001. Then from 2004-2009 he worked for Northwest Airlines in Madison. Mike loved his job and the people he worked with. He was a world traveler. Survivors include his parents, Lloyd and BurnaDeane Quamme of Reeseville, WI; four brothers, David Quamme of Watertown, WI, John Quamme of Farmington, MN, Steven Quamme of Waterloo, WI, and Dan (Kelly) Quamme of Columbus, WI; a sister, Mary Ann (Ralph) Urroz of Glenview, IL; a niece, Jessica and a grandniece, Adelyn; five nephews, Andrew, Douglas, Dylan, Dain and Aaron who will greatly miss Uncle "Mikey"; also many friends and other relatives. Funeral services were held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Waterloo, with the Rev. Father Michael Radowocz presiding. Memorials may be made to Hillside Home Care Hospice, Beaver Dam.
