Zetta Mae Abelbeck, 92, the daughter of Henry Leece and Mary Deane (Scheib) Leece, was born Jan. 4, 1905, on a farm near Lovewell. She died Nov. 30, 1997, at the Hill Top Estates Nursing Home in Gothenburg.

She attended Lovewell Schools and graduated from Lovewell High School. On Feb. 10, 1931, she married Amel Abelbeck in Hebron. They lived on a farm near Hardy, relocated in Superior, then to nursing homes in North Platte and Gothenburg to be near her daughter.

She was a member of Centennial Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Feb. 14, 1985; a brother, Raymond Leece, and a sister, Avis Ross.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Burton (Lona) Ristine, Gothenburg, and a son, Dwight Abelbeck, Hebron; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Gladys Petters, Longview, Wash.

Services were held Wednesday, from the Centennial Lutheran Church in Superior, with Pastor Paul Albrecht officiating.

Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery at Superior, Nebraska.
