OBITUARY Iron River Reporter Sep 17 1975 "Obituaries: Norman R. Kind"
Norman R. Kind, 65, Baumgartner District, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at his residence on Tuesday, September 9.
Mr. Kind was born October 10, 1909 in Pittsville, Wis. and graduated from the Waukesha high school in 1929. He had been a farmer all of his life in southern Wisconsin and retired in 1971, when he and his wife came to this area to live. Mr. Kind had been a resident of the Baumgartner District since 1971. He married the former Hilda Kobs on November 18, 1931. He was a member of the Iron River Elks Lodge.
Surviving are his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Elaine Sawyer, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Carl (Dolores) Kotecki, West Allis; his mother Mrs. Anna Kind, Waukesha; five brothers, Walter, Herbert, Arnold and Alvin, Waukesha and Bertram, Milwaukee. Seven grandchildren and one great-grandson also survive.
Memorial services were at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 8 under the auspices of the Iron River Elks lodge.
Funeral services were at Brooks Funeral Home on Friday, September 12 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Harlin H. Haack, pastor of First Lutheran Church, officiaiting.
Pallbearers were John Sawyer, Norman Sawyer, Donald Zimmerman, William Gronholm, Dennis Kaldwell and David Kind.
Interment was in Stambaugh Cemetery.
Brooks Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

INFORMATION FROM RELATIVE Louise Dowty ([email protected]) says he was the son of Alvin Kind & Annie Urbanks. He had two children Elaine Sawyer and Delores Kotecki. Louise lived over the hill from Hilda and Norman when they lived in Waukesha WI. They didn't see them much after the couple moved to MI.
