Anna Jane Wallace, daughter of Joseph C. and Mary Day Wallace, was born in Anderson township March 25, 1877, and departed this life, at her home southeast of Martinsville, on December 10, 1959 at the age of 82 years, 8 months and 15 days.
She was united in marriage to John D. Atkinson, who preceded her in death April 23, 1941.
To this union one son, Jesse, was born, with whom she lived and who has cared for her in her declining years.
Early in life she became a member of the Freedom Baptist Church, later transferring her membership to the Mt. Pleasant Christian church.
Besides her son, Jesse , she leaves many friends and a number of nieces and nephews to mourn her going.
