GALLAHER
Robert Gallaher died at his late residence at Burnt Cabins, Aug. 4, 1911, of apoplexy. Last February he was taken with a light stroke, but was able to walk and be around until two weeks before death, he was stricken with another which made him entirely helpless, and for the last ten days he lived he was unconscious, all that medical skill could do proved of no purpose. He was aged 71 years, 2 months and 4 days. He was twice married, the first time to Miss Elizabeth Strong, of Nossville, to which union 7 children were born which yet survive, Myrtle, Mrs. John Mumma, Burnt Cabins; Annie, Mrs. Mumma, Colorado; Belle, Mrs. H.B. Ramsey, Clear Ridge; Elder, North Dakota; Denton, Burnt Cabins; Lucy, Mrs. Wm. Vallance, Hustontown; John A., Clear Ridge; and his second wife was Jennie Graham, of Amberson Valley. He is also survived by a brother, J.B. Gallaher, of Pittsburg; and three sisters: Mrs. Thomas Briggs, Huntingdon; Mrs. William Mathias and Miss Jane, of Bt. Cabins. Furneral services Sunday at 2 P.M., conducted by Rev. Diehl. He was a member of the Green Hill Presbyterian church. Floral tributes were many and beautiful. Interment in Bt. Cabins cemetery. His remains were followed by a large concorse of sorrowing relatives and friends.
