Mrs. Bertha Tjossem, a resident of the Mapleside and Gaza area much of her life, died at 2:00 o'clock Tuesday morning at the Hartley hospital at the age of 85. Mrs. Tjossem had been in ill health for several years. She had gone to the hospital about 10 days ago.
Funeral services are to be held Thursday at the Gaudian Funeral Home at 1:30 and at the Friends Meeting House at Mapleside at 2:00 o'clock. Burial will be in the Friends burial ground, there.
Mrs. Tjossem is survived by two sons, Oreen and Alvern Tjossem, both of Gaza, and two daughters, Mrs. Clifford Wall of Gaza and Mrs. Edward Crosby [sic Crosbie] of Primghar.
