BOSSIER CITY, LA - Services for Pauline "Polly" Ballard Williams, 91, will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday, February 26, 2015at Rose-Neath's Bossier Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. David Dietzel, pastor of First United Methodist Church of Bossier City. Interment will follow at Rose-Neath Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Bossier City, LA.
Polly was born November 25, 1923 in Smackover, AR to Robert Claude Ballard and Maggie Paxton Ballard and died February 24, 2014 in Bossier City, LA. She retired from the Bossier Parish School Board after serving 30 years as a secretary at Greenacres Middle School. Polly was a member of the American Heart Association and assisted with many of their fundraisers, was a member of the Shreveport Petroleum Club and was a lifelong Notary. She was an avid bowler; she was active in bowling leagues for many years, bowled many state and national tournaments and was a member of the state bowling association.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Clifford R. Williams and her parents.
Polly is survived by her sons, Ronnie Williams and wife, Beverly of Pensacola, FL, Steve Williams and wife, Tammie and Mike Williams and wife Cindie, all of Bossier City, LA; grandchildren, Dusty Williams, Matt Williams, Corey Williams, Mallorie Williams Buseick, Kelley Williams, Dylan Williams and six great grandchildren.
Honoring Polly as pallbearers will be her grandsons and Vince Maggio and Bret Buseick.
