Sarah Jane Taylor, daughter of Cordine and Lydia Taylor was born at Des Moines, Iowa, November 8, 1866, and departed this life at her home in Clearwater, July 17th, 1939, at the age of 72 years, 8 months and 9 days.
She came with her parents to Nebraska where she has lived ever since. She was united in marriage to James Daggett in July 1883. To this union 7 children were born.
Her husband and three daughters preceded her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure three daughters and one son: Mrs. Myrtle Hays of Laramie, Wyo.; Mrs. Bertha Thompson of Clearwater, Nebr.; Mrs. Francine Hillmer of Sioux city, IA. and Alfred Daggett of Meadow Course, Nebr. Also four brothers, eight grandchildren and four great-grand children, besides a host of relatives and friends.
She united with the Baptist church in 1921 where she has been a faithful member ever since. She was a kind and loving wife and mother. She had a kind and loving disposition and to know her was to love her.
Funeral services were held at the Fairview Baptist church at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday with Mrs. Bernice Hickerson officiating. Interment was made in the Fairview Cemetery.
