Emma F. Mueller, 96, of Burlington, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2006, at Memorial Hospital of Burlington. She was born August 24, 1909, in Burlington to Gustave and Caroline (nee: Richter) Beuthling. She spent her early life and received her education in Burlington. On February 24, 1927, in Waukegan, Ill., she was united in marriage to Max Mueller. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1947. Emma was a lifetime resident of the Burlington area. She worked for Grossman Grocery and Reineman's True Value. In 1972 Emma retired from the Burlington Police Department where she had worked as a Meter Maid Matron. Survivors include her daughter, Eunice (John Jr.) Streiff of Burlington; grandson, Scott (Vivian) Streiff of Burlington; great-granddaughters, Christina and Carolyn Streiff both of Burlington; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Beuthling and Marian Beuthling both of Burlington; and Bernice Mueller of Lyons. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Herbert, Elliott, Donald and Warren.
Burial will follow at Burlington Cemetery.
