George L. McKinney, 92, of 151 Wilt Road, McClure, died Monday, Aug. 1, 2005, at Lewistown Hospital.

Born Sept. 1, 1912, in Potters Mills, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Moyer) McKinney. His wife, Pauline M. (Taylor) McKinney, preceded him in death in 1982.

He was employed as a production employee at the American Viscose Corporation.

He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.

Surviving are a son, Kurt L. McKinney Sr. and wife Lorma, 233 Terrace Blvd., Lewistown; a daughter, Sandra S. Cook and husband Robert, 151 Wilt Road, McClure; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

He was the last of his immediate family, having been preceded in death by four brothers, William, Perry, Clayton and Robert McKinney; and four sisters, Freda Meeker, Pearl Ullom, Catherine Hess and Mary Smouse.

His funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Heller-Hoenstine Woodlawn Funeral Home, 200 N. Main St., Lewistown, with William Winn officiating. Private interment will be in Mount Rock Cemetery.
