Alva F. Parmenter of St. Croix Falls died March 2 at the age of 96. Alva was born March 4, 1911 at Trade River, Wisconsin to Andrew and Britta Kallman. She attended school through the 6th grade. Alva ventured to California at an early age, where she met her loving husband of 57 years, Howard. They spent most of their married life together in California until they returned to Wisconsin to be with family in 2001. While in St. Croix Falls, they enjoyed visiting with all Alva's family member at their town home and later at the Comforts of Home.
