LOUIS R. HOOVER, of 912 Bloomfield street, Roaring Spring, died at 9:15 o'clock last nigh at his home. Mr. Hoover was born May 15, 1873, in Lawrence county, Kansas, a son of John H. and Catherine (Replogle) Hoover. His wife, the former Annie M. Strayer, whom he married June 21, 1894, died Jan. 20, 1946.

Surviving are five sons and one daughter, Chester L. of Cross Keys, Howard, Irvin, Clarence and Elvin of Roaring Spring and Mrs. Bessie R. Waite of Kpton, O.; 27 grand children, 6 great-grandchildren and two brothers and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Shiffler, Mrs. Mary Brubaker and Mahlon E. of Cross Keys and Elmer R. of Roaring Spring. A daughter, Mrs. Elsie Pearl Brubaker, preceded him in death.

A retired P.R.R. employee, Mr. Hoover was a life-long member of the Roaring Spring Church of the Brethren and had served as deacon of the church since 1911.

Friends will be received at the Hite funeral home, Roaring Spring, after 7 o'clock this evening.
