Dorothy D. Groff, a former correspondent for the Reading Eagle and Reading Times, and a former reporter for the Kutztown Patriot, died of natural causes Saturday morning at 8:46 in Reading Hospital.
Groff, 86, of 232 Lenni St., Kutztown, had been a patient since Thursday. She was the widow of Chester A. Groff, who died in 1980.
Born in Kutztown, she was a daughter of the late Henry K. and Annie (Wagenhorst) Deisher.
She had been an elementary school teacher in the Virgin Islands and the Kutztown School District. She retired from teaching in 1971. There are no immediate survivors.
