He was born in 1917 to Charles Henry Nichols and Anna Monuskey (memorial numbers 33837728 and 35570911). He was adopted as a baby by Herman Otto Killian and Mary Christina McKay.

John 'Jack' Ross Killian, loving father and friend, passed away November 30, at age 92. He was born in Aurora, IL April 5, 1917 and for the past seven years resided in Asbury Gardens in North Aurora, IL. Jack married Jenie 'Kielion' in 1941 and they lived in Batavia for over 50 years. Jack was a proud Veteran of WWII and was an active member of the American Legion for 62 years. He once owned and operated Mr. Steak Restaurant in St. Charles and was a Cub Scout and Boy Scout leader and also served as an Alderman in Batavia. Jack is survived by his sons, Jeff of Bloomington, CA and Jim (Sandi) of Batavia; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a niece and three nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenie; and daughter-in-law, Susan. A memorial service' Celebration of Jack's Life' will be held in the chapel at Asbury Gardens, 210 Airport Road, North Aurora Saturday December 6, at 2:00 pm. James Funeral Service is serving the family 630-851-6503.
