I can not for the life of me explain the 1863 birth date on her marker nor can I explain the name Pheba. Was it a nickname? I don't know but have listed it as such simply because it is on the marker. The vital records I have listed are from her Death Certificate. I have also posted a photo of her Obituary. The matching gravestones side by side listed as Mother & Father is testament to their relationship. Other records confirm this also. I have yet to come up with a Marriage Certificate. If you do please let me know. All this being said I am still not convinced she was born in Iowa even though her Death Certificate says she was. Three censuses say she was born in Ohio and one says Pennsylvania. I'd bet Ohio. ~ RCY
