She was born March 9, 1925, in Evarts, Ky., to the late Joe and Dora Shell Cawood.
She was a member of the First Christian Church and enjoyed working in her garden and working with flowers. Mrs. Housley worked at the Y-12 Plant as a documents clerk.
She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Housley; and a sister, Jacquelion Adams.
She is survived by a daughter, Kim Pate and husband Bill of Florida; grandson, Elijah Pate; step-daughter, Carol Murphy of Pennington Gap, Va.; and two sisters, Pauline C. Ball of Louisville, Ky., and Audrey C. VanPelt and husband Bill of Clinton.
Funeral services will be Sunday, Dec. 11, 2005, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Russell officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
