William D. Wear William Downar Wear, 79, of Route 2, Box 134, Warren, died Thursday, February 25, at the Pine Lodge Nursing Home. A native of Bradley co, Mr. Wear was born December 7, 1891. He was the son of the late Newton Cook and Julia Ann Singer. Mr. Wear was a member of the Farmville Baptist Church. Survivors include four brothers, Arthur Wear, Warren, J.W. Wear Houston, Carl Wear, Kenedy and Hoyle Wear of San Antoine Texas; one sister Mrs. Sarah Permelia Nixon, Warren. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. , Saturday, February 27, 1971, at the chapel of Frazer's Funeral Home by Reverend George Meyer. Burial was in the Hickory Springs Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Jimmy Thomason, Home Lathan, Richard Lathan, Steve Anders, Jimmy Camp, Clarence Thomason. Honorary Pallbearers were J.W. Kelly, Gordon Moseley, Louis W. Ederington, Gordon Price, Roscoe Crawford, Rex Vick, L.Q. Thompson, Bill Hargis and Loran Johnson.

Downar (William Downar Wear) went to work in a coal mine somewhere and and never was well again after he came back.
Was in Pulaski Co State Hospital in 1930 apears in 1930 census twice. Was told that his brother Arthur took him out of the Hospital in 1930 to live with him.
