Kerr County Attorney W.E. Smith died at the home of his brother-in-law, Mayor John H. Ward on Sunday morning and was buried on Monday. Mr. Smith came to Kerrville with his brother, N.B. Smith, and sister, Mrs. John H. Ward in 1887. Four years ago, his wife died in Kerrville. He leaves three boys and one girl, a sister, and a brother to mourn his death. He had served two years as county attorney of Kerr County and was re-elected in November of 1906 for another two years.
