Obit from The Bossier Banner:
ARMENA SENTELL, second daughter of Mr. N.W. Sentell, of Collinsburg, died suddenly in New Orleans on the 21st this instant, aged about 14 years--Like a rosebud rudely broken from the parent stem, her bright and lovely young life withered and she now sleeps peacefully in the embrace of mother earth in Cottage Grove cemetery. Called away in the sweet innocent hours of girlhood, ere the mind or heart could know aught but purity and love, she now lives in that happy home above. The editor of the Banner tenders his heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved father in this hour of deep distress.
ARMENA SENTELL
Resolutions Adopted by Plain Dealing Presbyterian Sunday School
Whereas, The Good Shepherd, in His infinite wisdom, has called from our midst to the heavenly fold, our beloved member, Armena Sentell.
Resolved, That in the death of Armena our school loses one faithful and earnest in her duties, who, while a child had given her heart to her Saviour and assumed the vows and duties of a Christian. That since to know her, with her bright and cheerful disposition and her helpful nature, was to love her, we can but sorrow in the loss to the family, to the friends and to the Sabbath School. We, her schoolmates, have lost a hopeful co-worker, but the Heavenly hand which has taken away gave, and we joy in the hope that she "with the angels stands."
That we tender our deepest sympathy to the bereaved family and pray that they may find hope in the promises and strength in the love of our Father in Heaven.
That a copy of these resolutions be spread upon the records of our Sabbath School and published in the Bossier Banner.
COMMITTEE.
