Inez and her husband, Randall, were returning from an Eastern Star meeting in Hutchinson, Kansas when they had a horrible collision with a train at the Turon, Kansas RR Crossing. Inez died on the scene and Randall died a couple of days later in Pratt County Hospital in Pratt, Kansas. They were less than 35 miles from home when the accident occurred.
