Heart Attack Fatal to Kesner D. Jones
Kesner D. Jones, 45, died unexpectedly Tuesday, Aug 4, at 3:45 p.m. at the Wilson County hospital following a heart attack. He had not been ill previously.
Kesner Dugger Jones was born February 1, 1919 in Neodesha to Everett and Blanche Jones. He lived in Kansas and Neodesha most of his life but served the U. S. Army in California for about one year. In March of 1951 he was employed by the American Oil company refinery here and was an instrument mechanic in the mechanical division. On February 22, 1952, he was married to Mrs. Marilyn Cutler here. He was a member of the Neodesha Episcopal Church of the Ascension.
He is survived by the wife, Mrs. Marilyn Jones of the home; one son, Ben Cutler, Neodesha; his mother, Mrs. Blanche Jones, Neodesha; one sister, Mrs. E. W. Bishop, Tallahassee, Fla.; and one brother, C. A. Jones, Phoenix, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by his father on January 25, 1959.
Funeral services were held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Ascention Episcopal church with the Rev. Warren Sapp officiating.
Soloist, Warren Townsend, sand "The Lord's Prayer," accompanied by Harlyn Knight.
Casket bearers were: Jack Smith, Carl Kuntz, Marvin Denney, John Deer, Dr. Charles Koger and Earl Lance. Interment was made at the Neodesha cemetery under the direction of the Loran Fawcett Funeral Home.
Out of town relatives attending were: Mr. and Mrs. C. A. Jones and children, Kristy and Gregory, Phoenix, Ariz.; Mrs. E. W.
