John died without a will so the estate was divided among the 8 living children and his widow. As some of the children moved away after they married, they sold their part of the estate to the others that remained there. Five of the children of John and Caroline, married, built homes and lived on the estate until their deaths. It was known as Wilfong town. Most of the land is still owned by the grandchildren.
