Former Anchorage resident Peggy A. Felicetty, 67, died Oct. 10, 2005. A viewing and funeral were held at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 825 S. Klevin St., with the Rev. Fred Bugarin officiating. Burial was afterward at Fort Richardson National Cemetery. A celebration of life was at VFW Post 1685.

Mrs. Felicetty was born April 26, 1938, in Beckley, W.Va., to William and Nell Collinsworth. She married Ralph Felicetty on June 7, 1956, and traveled with him all over the world while he served in the U.S. Air Force. She moved to Alaska with her husband and children in 1977 after her husband's retirement from the military. Mrs. Felicetty was the canteen manager of VFW Post 1685 since 1988. She loved her job and she loved the veterans. She always said they were her "other family." Her family wrote: "Peggy was a very loving and compassionate wife, mother and friend. She loved to sing and when she did, it was like an angel from heaven. Peggy's generosity and kind heart were an inspiration to her family and friends. She always said that her name was written in heaven. She was and always will be our hero. She will no longer suffer, but will be missed. In our time, we will meet again." Her family added that she was much loved.

Mrs. Felicetty is survived by her husband, Ralph Felicetty Sr.; sons, Ralph Felicetty Jr., Thomas, Timothy and Ronald Felicetty; daughters, Rena and Virginia Felicetty; and brothers, Jimmy, Buddy and Billy Collinsworth. Arrangements are with Witzleben Family Funeral Homes.
