Robert "Bob" Clayton Engle died Nov. 25, 2009, in Meridian, Idaho, after a brief, courageous battle with cancer.

Bob was born Nov. 1, 1959, in Butte, to Edwin and Clara Engle. He attended local schools and graduated in 1978 from Butte High School. For several years, Bob worked as a disc jockey. Prior to his illness, his last position was as a correctional officer at Montana State Prison.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Edwin.

He is survived by his mother, Clara Engle; siblings, Ed (Connie) Engle, Betty (Bernie) McKinney, Karen (Bill) Galpin, and Dorothy (Gary) Tallon of Butte, Marian Engle and Linda Engle of Great Falls; numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles; and his best friend and roommate, Lynette Ford, and their dog, Bart.

Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec.11, in Gold Hill Lutheran Church, Butte, with the Rev. Michael Borge officiating. Interment of ashes will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
