Mich., returned to his heavenly Father on Friday, Oct. 25, 2002, at his
residence. Dale was born in Cheboygan on July 8, 1934, the fourth
child for Carl and Thelma Bonnett. He attended Cheboygan high
schools and played football in high school. He moved to Flint in 1952
and went to work for General Motors. He served in the U.S. Army
from 1954 to 1957, returning to GM after his discharge. After
retirement he kept busy driving cars for Budget and Avis Rent-A-Car.
He was united in marriage to Shirley Brody on April 4, 1959, in
Charlotte, Mich. He leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Shirley; two
sons, William (Liz) of Fremont, Ohio, and Kerry of Flint; three
grandsons, Shawn, Michael and Christopher; five sisters, Esther (Jim),
Peart (Bob), Ellen (AI), Shirley (Bob) and Barbara, all of Cheboygan;
three brothers, Ron (Bobbie) and Larry, both of Cheboygan, and Gary
of Liberty, Mo; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by his parents, Carl and Thelma Bonnett. A memorial service
for family and friends will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7,2002,
at St. James Episcopal Church, with the Rev. William McClure
officiating.
