He was a Univ. of NE. graduated, he served as an educator teaching Vocational Agriculture to service men under the GI
Bill and at the High School level. He worked for the Ne. Dept. of Labor until his retirement.
He was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church in Lincoln. He was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Josephine Bartels, wife Doris on May 31, 2004, infant daughter Cathy Denise. brothers Earl and Vernon.
Survivers were his children. and 4 grandchildren. and 2 great grandchildren. brothers, Arnold, Robert and wife Mildred. and Raymond and wife June. sisters Bernice Geisler, Oleta (Dick)Popp. and sister-n-law Naomi Bartels.
Funeral services were held April 3 at Calvary Lutheran Church, in Lincoln, Ne. Burial in Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery.
