Mrs. Helen Fogleman Brewer, 82, of 106 Forest Drive, Burlington died suddenly at her residence on Wednesday, January 17, 2007.
A native of Alamance County, she was the wife of the late Henry E. Brewer and the daughter of George Collie Fogleman and Abbie O'Brien Fogleman, both deceased. She was a charter member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church where she was very active in church activities.
Survivors include one daughter, Ms. Sandra Brewer Hall of Burlington; one son, Mr. John Brewer and wife, Joy of Burlington; two granddaughters, Mrs. Heather Hall Lakey and husband, Bart of Burlington and Miss Lauren Livingston Brewer of Durham; two great-grandchildren, Hunter Lakey and Henry Lakey; and two sisters, Mrs. Bessie F. Wagoner of Burlington and Mrs. Millie F. Hinshaw of China Grove.
She was preceded in death by seven sisters and two brothers.
The funeral will be conducted at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. Lee Pittard. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 609 Trail #2, Burlington on Friday from 1:30 until 3:00 p.m. Other times, they will be at the home of Sandra Hall, 1509 Wales Court, Burlington, NC. The body will remain at the Rich & Thompson Mortuary in Burlington until time to be taken to the church for the visitation and funeral service.
