Husband of Christine (Harvey) Collins.

John Leonard Collins, Sr., 60, formerly of Spartanburg, SC, died August 27th, 1987, in Toccoa, GA. He was the husband of Christine (Harvey) Collins and son of Naomi (Knighton) Collins of Spartanburg, SC and the late Leonard C. Collins. He was an advertising executive with Anderson Independent, a member of Hill Street Baptist Church in Toccoa, GA, and served in the U. S. Navy during WW II.

Mr. Collins was survived by a son: John Leonard Collins, Jr. of Toccoa, GA; three daughters: Marianne (Collins) Thompson of Oak Hill, West Virginia, Nancy (Collins) Tucker of Columbia, SC, and Toni (Collins) Arrowood of Martinex, GA; and five grandchildren.

Visitation was August 28th, 1987 at the Acree-Davis Funeral home with burial the following day, August 29th, 1987, in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens of Spartanburg, SC.
