A graveside service for Mary C. Abeldt, 86, of Waynoka, will be 2 p.m. Friday in Waynoka Municipal Cemetery. The Rev. John Brint will officiate. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home, Waynoka, LLC.

She was born May 15, 1921, in Garber to Nelson Cornelius "Slim" and Edith Blanche Beck Miller and died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2007, in Oklahoma City.

She moved with her parents to Waynoka at age one. She graduated from Waynoka High School in May 1939.

She married Harry Robert Abeldt Nov. 26, 1941, in Waynoka. She was a homemaker and worked in several Waynoka cafes and helped with Waynoka Tag Agency following her husband's death. She was a member of Waynoka Church of God, Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge. She was a Girl Scout troop leader and served as home room mother. She was a seamstress and played in several card groups.
