Curtis Walker Terry, 88, of Oak Ridge, died Tuesday, June 12, 2001, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge.

Mr. Terry was born June 3, 1913, in Newcombe, the son of Euell and Mandy Lay Terry.

He was retired from Union Carbide Nuclear Division as a pipefitter at Oak Ridge National Laboratory.

Mr. Terry attended the First Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife, Cleo Phillips Terry; and his daughters, Norma Sue Terry of Memphis, Sandra McLaughlin and her husband, Jerry McLaughlin, Jennifer Lee Terry Owsley and her husband, William Lester Owsley, and Linda Haynes and her husband, Chuck Haynes, all of Oak Ridge, and Janice Rowley and Leslie Stone and her husband, Bill Stone, of Clinton.

He is also survived by his grandchildren, Tracey McLaughlin of Knoxville, Matthew Hensley, Taylor Stone and Destiny Capri Owsley, all of Oak Ridge, Pat Kalevitch and her husband, Phil, of Palm Beach, Fla., and Lee Ann Jordan and her husband, Pat, of Winston-Salem, N.C.; and five great-grandchildren.

Matthew Owsley of Oak Ridge was considered a special friend.

Mr. Terry was preceded in death by his first wife, Jessie Lee Terry, in 1981.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 16, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with the Rev. Timothy Fields officiating.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Weatherford Mortuary.
