Charlie/Chuck was third son and seventh of thirteen children of Walter I. & Mary E.(Lizzie) Burton Ball, a pioneering family of Nebraska. He moved his family wherever he could find work. When he needed something, he barter his labor for what he needed. Especially during the depression years. He volunteered to serve during World War I, but the Armistice was signed before he was needed in the military. Rancher, Farmer, Bus Driver, he worked at the Parsons Ammo Depot during WWII, and later retired as a Marble Polisher for Carthage Marble Co in 1962. Husband of Matilda Jane Wise. Father of Floyd & Howard Ball. Grandfather of Steven, Sharon, Terri, Vicci, Randy, Ricky, Joni, Penny, Daryl, & Greg Ball. He injured his neck, and died in the hospital of a brain anuerism during his treatment. He was survived by his wife, sons, two brothers and six sisters.
