Helen M. Olson, age 91, of Necedah, Wisconsin, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2009. She was born June 2, 1918, to Willis and Mabel (Lord) Carlton in St. Charles, MN.

She was united in marriage to Clifford Martin Olson October 10, 1937 in Adams County at her parent's home. Together they moved to Necedah, where Helen and Clifford became managers of the Junction City Telephone Company. They moved into the apartment in the telephone company building, downtown Necedah where they raised their family. Helen was very active in the Necedah community, a member State Assembly for Senior Citizens and was named Citizen of the Year in Necedah. In her spare time she enjoyed crafting.

She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Ray) Blackburn of Tomah, WI and her son, Dwayne (Vada) Olson of Necedah, WI; 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren; one sister, Thelma Zimbeck; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willis and Mabel; her husband, Clifford; two brothers, Bertis and Fred; and two sisters, Lottie and Bonnie.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 14, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at the Necedah Assembly of God Church. Pastor Jim Christensen is officiating. Burial will follow in the Bayview Cemetery, Necedah, WI. Family and friends are invited for visitation Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church.
