ODESSA Reimundo Aguirre, 65, died Friday, Aug. 12, 2005, at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
Reimundo was born Jan. 24, 1940, in Stanton, Texas, to Cruz and Eufemia Aguirre.
"Mundo" was what everyone knew him as. He was a fun-loving man , full of character and full of love. Despite of his long battle of illness, he always managed to keep a smile and joke around so that time would pass by and so that he could forget about his illness.
On Aug. 12, 2005, The Triumphs Sounded and the gates to heaven opened. God called upon his presence to join Him and His angels.
Mundo will now follow his beloved son, Rene Aguirre, along with parents and brothers.
He will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his wife, Andrea Aguirre, who stood by his side. He is also survived by a son, Rick Aguirre of Odessa; three daughters, Patricia Howell of San Antonio, Texas, Precillia Gamboa of Odessa and Renee Michelle Leal of Odessa; nine wonderful grandchildren, Andrew Aguirre, Brandon Andrade, Kimberly Melendez, Chris Melendez, Jeremy Melendez, Michael Aguirre, Aarron Gamboa, Ali Gamboa and Rian Howell.
Pallbears are Joel Gamboa, Oscar Leal, Roger Howell, Michael Aguirre, Christopher Melendez and Rick Aguirre.
Honorary pallbearers are Jeremy Melendez and Aarron Gamboa.
