Mrs. Eva T. Graves
Wife of Mr. A. Graves, died April 27, born in Bradford Co. Pa., April 6, '52; married Dec. 4, '70; left husband, three sons and one daughter (one child gone before her home); united with the Baptist church early in life and in '72 assisted in organizing the Baptist church of Palmyra; her life and profession were consistently christian.
For the two years she has been a great sufferer from that terrible disease -- cancer in the breast. Medical skill and love's solicitude were unavailing, -- her husband has lost an affectionate wife, -- children an indulgent mother, and all of us an estimable friend.
At her request, the funeral service was by Rev. Amos Pratt at the home she helped to establish. Her remains were deposited in Palmyra's Rosewood Cemetery on W'nsday, April 29, being escorted thither by a host of sorrowing friends. Asleep in Jesus!
