Manhattan - Daniel B. MacArthur, 83, died Friday at St. Mary Hospital, Manhattan. Born Jan. 29, 1894 at the Welcome Community, he married Vida Anderson, March 30, 1921 at Eskridge. He was a retired farmer and lived here since 1974.
He was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Manhattan.
Survivors include widow; sons: Donald H., Manhattan; Chester A., Hutchinson; daughters: Eleanor Louise MacArthur, Manhattan; Wilma P. Clark, Renton, Washington; brothers: Orville, Alta Vista; Ray, Richmond; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cowen-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home, Manhattan; Rev. Alvin Zimmerman. Burial will be in the Welcome Community Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to the heart fund.
