Cora Estelle Graves, 95, of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009, at the Methodist Medical Center.

She was born Dec. 14, 1913, in Tiplersville, Miss., the daughter of John Gibbs Smith and Mary Etta Tomlinson Smith.

Mrs. Graves was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church since 1954. She had also been a member of the Senior Citizens Bridge Club, the Senior Citizens KPXY Bowling League and the Oak Ridge Woman's Club. She was also an avid quilter up to the age of 94.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Murray, Paul, Roy and Elmo Smith; sisters, Lela Ruth Stigall and Mary Edna Smith; infant daughters, Johnnie Ruth and Mary Lynn Graves; and grandson, Michael Jones.

She is survived by her son, Thomas Wayne Graves and wife, Irene, of Smyrna, Ga.; daughters, Norma Weber and husband, Evans, of Cumming, Ga., and Emily McCullough of Oak Ridge; grandchildren, Mark Weber and wife, Itura, Denise Carney and husband, Stanley, Deborah Ulerick and husband, Paul, Dawn Murawski and husband, Tim, Bruce McCullough, Rachel Walker and husband, Wade, and Lee Graves and wife, Octavia; great-grandchildren, Lindsey and Seth McCullough, Joseph Walker, Austin Graves, Justin Walker, Breana Hemming, Miles and Corissa Carney, Audress and Grey Weber, Kyle Jones and Jenna Murawski; and one great-great-grandson, Daniel Carney.

The family will receive friends Friday, Oct. 23, 2009, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Weatherford Mortuary. The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Weatherford Mortuary and burial will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. Dr. Mark Walton will officiate.
