David Wesley Bish 86 for many years a resident of Mahoning Township, died Sunday, March 29, 1942 in the Armstrong County Hospital, Kittanning.


Mr. Bish was born February 15, 1856 in Red Bank Township, Clarion County, the son of Jacob Bish 1811-1898 and Elizabeth Wolfgang Bish 1816-1862.


In 1881 he was married to Miss Elizabeth Agnes Young, and to this union eleven children were born.


He is survived by his wife and the following children:

Robert Bish of Rockville;

Mrs. Adam Ruth of Distant,

Mrs. Charles Markle of Freeport, RD 1;

Mrs. Ralph Shick, Templeton,

Earl Bish of Rimersburg,

Mrs. Ott Barrett,

Mrs. Charles Powell,

Mrs. George Wells,

Mrs. Paul Kunselman,

Mrs. Irvin Boyer, all of Distant, and

Ralph Bish of Rimersburg. He also leaves one sister, Mrs. Moses Drayer and a brother, William Bish, both of Hawthorn.


Funeral services were held at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Irvin Boyer, Distant.


Burial was made in the Distant cemetery under the direction of W S Vorous.
