Mrs. LeFebvre Dies; Came To Falls In 1887
Mrs. Cora Lynn LeFebvre, 82, resident of Great Falls and this section since 1887, died Tuesday morning at the home of a son, Almon C. LeFebvre. The funeral will be conducted at the W.H. George chapel Thursday at 2 p.m. The Rev. Ward F. Boyd will officiate. Interment will be in Highland cemetery.
Mrs. LeFebvre was born at Conneaut, Ohio, June 18, 1850. During her early youth she was a school teacher at Erie, Pa., but later moved to Minneapolis, where she married the late Azarie B. LeFebvre. Mr. LeFebvre died August 1926, at Wooburn, Ore.
Mr. and Mrs. LeFebvre came to Great Falls with their family in March 1887, when the town was yet but a small, scattered community. They came over the newly built Montana Central railway, now a part of the Great Northern system, and alighted at an old box car, the railway station at the time.
With the exception of six years, the family lived in this city, first taking up a farmstead on the Sun river bench. The home which they occupied for 30 years is still standing and is now occupied by Dr. R. D. Durnin and may be seen from Great Falls.
Since the death of her husband, Mrs. LeFebvre had made her home with her son, Almon C. LeFebvre, and family, at 1509 Central avenue.
There survive two daughters, Mrs. James H. Dibb, Portland, Ore., and Mrs. Arthur Johnson of Highwood; four sons, Theo E. LeFebvre of Ulm, Almon C. LeFebvre of Great Falls, and Remi V. and Hartley F. LeFebvre of Woodburn, Ore.; two nieces also reside in Great Falls, Mrs. May Goodau and Mrs. Walter S. Clark, and 16 grandchildren. ..................................
