Glennallen resident David F. Adkins, 23, died Feb. 7, 2001, at home. Visitation was at the Fellowship Hall in Glennallen. A celebration of life followed at Wolverine Lodge. A Mass of Christian Burial was at Holy Family Church in Glennallen with the Rev. LeRoy Clementich officiating. Pallbearers were Charles Farmer, James Kramer, Brian Fischer, Frank Adkins, Patrick Cole and Sean Gallatin. Burial was at Palmer Pioneer Cemetery.

Mr. Adkins was born March 19, 1977, in Glennallen. He graduated from Glennallen High School and had attended the University of Alaska Anchorage for three years. Mr. Adkins had worked for the Alaska Department of Transportation. He enjoyed football, mopars and playing the guitar. The family said: ''David will be remembered as a loving father, uncle, son and friend. His musical talent and enthusiastic personality will be missed greatly. He had a zest for life which included his deep admiration and devotion for his children and family. Although his time with us was short, we take comfort in knowing David lived a full and adventurous life. He will live in our hearts forever.''

Mr. Adkins is survived by daughter, Kursti Adkins; son, Walkier Dresnek; fiancee, Amy Dresnek; mother, Carol Adkins; father, Vernice Adkins; brothers, Frank Adkins, Charon Adkins and Vernon Adkins; and nieces and nephews, Christina Adkins, Stephanie Adkins, Frank Adkins and Kimberly Adkins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Vernice Adkins Jr. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the David Adkins Memorial Fund, National Bank of Alaska, Account No. 1102294748. Arrangements were by Kehl's Palmer Mortuary.
