THE HENRY BULLETIN, Martinsville, Va., Tue., Feb. 11, 1930, p. 4, col. 2. North Bassett. The death on Friday of Mrs. E. B. Haley of Martinsville, a resident of here, up to a few months ago, was quite a shock to this community where she leaves a host of friends. She is survived by her husband and eight children: Elise, Myrtle, Ola, Gertrude, Jewell, Irene, Dick and Ray, all living at home.

The paper dated Tue., Feb. 11, 1930, p. 6, col. 6, has the following additional information:

She was age 41, lived on South Bridge street, died from pneumonia. Funeral services were held from the home on Sunday and burial made in the Coleman cemetery near Spencer. She was a member of the Baptist church.
