Mrs. Jennie Jones Corbett, 86, a pioneer resident of this community, died at her home in Seventh avenue on Wednesday afternoon, April 23, after a long illness.

Mrs. Corbett was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Scott Jones, of Clarion.

She was born on May 13, 1860 and lived her entire lifetime in Clarion.

She was married to A. W. Corbett, who died on September 29, 1939; he was a former merchant here and owner of a Main street business property which now houses the J. C. Penney Company store.

Mr. and Mrs. Corbett had one son, Scott J. Corbett, who died on September 13, 1942.

Mrs. Corbett is survived by a granddaughter, a grandson, a great - granddaughter, and a great - grandson.

She was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian church of Clarion.

Funeral services will be held at Mrs. Corbett's late home at 11 o'clock tomorrow (Friday) morning, with the Rev. Roy C. Blair officiating.

Interment will be in Clarion cemetery.
