John Williard 'Jack' Flegal, 82, McKeesport, formerly of Salem, OR, died Weds., Dec. 9, 2009. Mr. Flegal was the former owner of Global Aircraft, Culver City, California, and a Purchasing General Supervisor for North American Aviation before retiring. Before moving to California, John was a member of West Side United Methodist Church, Tenth Ward, McKeesport. Husband of the late Frances-Marie (Heffel) Flegal; father of John W. Flegal, Salem, OR. During his senior year in high school during World War II, John enlisted in the Marine Corps, where he served as a military guard receiving an honorable discharge. John then attended Woodbury College where he earned a degree in Business Administration in 1950. As a reservist he was called to active duty during the Korean Conflict and was in the Wonson-Hungnan- Chosin Campaign as a Staff Sergeant. He is survived by brother, Clifford W. (Janet) Flegal, Sr., McKeesport and nephews and nieces: Clifford W. (Sheri) Flegal, Jr., Kevin W. (Audrey) Flegal, Thomas W. Mihun-Flegal, Mary (Frank) Stattler, Jody (Henry) Steady, Kathy (Scott) Brady, Gigi (Jeff) Snodgrass, Michelle (Tim) Conroy, William F. Flegal, George (Diana) Flegal, Michael (Alicia) Flegal and Freda Gale (Doug) Nelson. He was born August 9, 1927, in McKeesport. Predeceased by parents, Foster E. and Mary Jane (Baxter) Flegal, Sr.; brothers: Melvin (Fania) Flegal, Foster 'Bud' E. (Virginia) Flegal, Jr., George A. (Mary) Flegal, Paul E. (Florence) Flegal, M.
