A native of Amberg, Wis., Adams was a resident of Mobile and a member of Government Street Presbyterian Church.
For 25 years, she had lived in Washington, D.C., where she worked as secretary to the head of the Bureau of Navy Personnel.
Survivors include two grandchildren, Susan Reams and W.E. Timmerman Jr., both of Mobile; one great-grandson; and two great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service took place Thursday in Pine Crest Cemetery. Radney Funeral Home on Dauphin Street handled arrangements.
