T.T. Woodruff Is Dead At Moulton


Thomas T. Woodruff, 44, widely known Lawrence County citizen, died at 11 o'clock Monday night at his Moulton home after a short illness. Mr. Woodruff was manager of the Moulton Gin Company.


He is survived by his widow; three sons, Hayes, John and Price, all of Moulton; the parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Woodruff, of Russellville, Route 5; two brothers, J. P. Woodruff Jr of Russellville, Route 5 and W. F. Woodruff, of Russellville, Route 3; six sisters, Mrs. Ella Dennis and Mrs. Ida Carlisle, of Russellville, Route 5; Mrs. Lula House, of Phil Campbell; Mrs. Ada Deal, of Mt. Hope; Mrs. Josey Hovater, of Russellville, Route 1 and Mrs. Eva Bagwell of Warrior.


Services will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at Moulton Baptist Church, Rev. L.P. Royer, assisted by Rev. O.E. Kirby, will officiate. Interment will take place at Heflin Cemetery near Moulton with Highsmith directing.


The following will act as pallbearers; Dr. George Carraway, Mayor L. F. Gentry, Robert Henderson, Robert Bryan Jr, Hudson Sandlin and Clark Burch.


The death of Mr. Woodruff was the cause of widespread regret throughout Lawrence County where he was highly esteemed. He was active in business, civic and religious circles, having been a member of the Baptist church for many years.

Son of J P Woodruff and Rutha Middleton and husband of Annie Jane Woodruff. He was 44 years 9 months 11 days old when he died.
