From Dolores Bohn, we receive the following obituary posted in the Kentucky Standard 12/10/2003:

"Mary Lila Nalley Benningfield Mattingly, 86, New Haven, died Dec. 7, 2003, at Spring View Hospital, Lebanon. A native of Raywick, Mattingly was a member of St. Catherine Catholic Church at New Haven and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by: three husbands, Albert Nalley, Edward Benningfield and Francis Mattingly; a son, Charles Benningfield; parents, Joseph Monroe and Lilly Mae Mattingly; four sisters, Emma Jane Hagan, Bessie Mattingly, Zel Mattingly and Grace Henley; and four brothers, Bertle, Harvey, Earl and George Mattingly. Survivors include: a daughter, Bernice Reynolds of Campbellsville; two sons, David Benningfield of New Haven and Bobby Nalley of Campbellsville; two sisters, Mattie Mattingly and Catherine Greenwell, both of Lebanon; a brother, Elias Mattingly of Loretto; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and two step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Dec. 10 at St. Catherine Church in New Haven, with burial in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Raywick. Fr. Stanley Osborne officiated. Joseph L. Greenwell Funeral Home, New Haven, was in charge of the arrangements."
