Mrs. Pearl Henderson 86 died Saturday in a Tulare Hospital.
A native of Independence, Kansas. Mrs. Henderson came to Tulare in 1929. She and her late husband Sam Henderson, operated the Evergreen Motel and later the Tulare Motor Inn until their retirement in 1937. Sam died in 1955.
Mrs. Henderson was an active American Red Cross worker, having, over a period of years donated some 5,000 hours of sewing time making articles for the hospitals. She also donated items she had sewn to Springville Hospital.
She is survived by two sons, Earl W. Henderson, Tulare and Oren F. Henderson Arroyo Grade; three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She also survived by a sister Mrs. Tom (Nellie) Harbert, Downieville.
