THEY HAD THREE CHILDREN, RONALD ALLEN BORN IN NEW JERSEY, WILLIAM CHRISTOPHER BORN IN VALPARAISO, ALSO KEVIN LEE BORN IN VALPARAISO. WILLIAM AND HIS FATHER WILLY J. BUHMANN HAD THE ALLIS CHALMERS FRANCHISE TILL 1967 AND HE STARTED WORKING FOR BETHLEHEM STEEL CORPORATION AS A MECHANICAL MILLWRIGHT IN 1968 AND RETIRED IN 2003.

William F. "Ole Blue" Buhmann, 78 of Valparaiso passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015. He was born September 17, 1937 in Gary, the son of the late Willy J. and Maryarden L. (Ebersold) Buhmann. William was a graduate of Valparaiso High School and an Air Force Veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He started his career at the family business, Buhmann Implement Company during the late 50's, 60's and early 70's in Valparaiso and retired from Bethlehem Steel after 35 years.
On March 21, 1992 in Key West, FL, William remarried JoAnn Paschal who preceded him in death in 2014. He is survived by his sons: Ronald A. Buhmann, Valparaiso, William C. (Connie) Buhmann, Sr., Valparaiso, and Kevin L. (Sophia) Buhmann, Carmel; grandchildren: Robert L., Benjamin A., and William C. "Billy", Jr. Buhmann; step- grandchildren: Charles, Pat, James, and Joe Smith; and brother, Ronald R. Buhmann.
Following cremation at Angelcrest Crematory, a Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, September 25, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Moeller Funeral Home, 104 Roosevelt Rd., Valparaiso. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor's charity of choice. MoellerFuneralHome.com
