Kathleen "Kat" Savage Adams, formerly of Walterboro and most recently of Sylvania, GA, entered into her state of eternal rest on the afternoon of December 13, 2009, in Statesboro, GA.

Mrs. Adams was born July 19, 1930, in Charleston and was a daughter of the late Charlie Anderson Savage and the late Irene Carroll Savage.

She made her career as a retired Licensed Practical Nurse having retired from the old Walterboro Hospital formerly located on Lemacks Street in Walterboro and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Walterboro.

Mrs. Adams will be fondly recalled for the love she had for visiting and socializing with people as well as her skill and talent that made her an accomplished pianist.

She loved her family dearly always finding special joy in the time she spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was the widow of Mr. Charley Leroy Adams, Sr. and surviving are: a son, Charley "Boley" Leroy Adams, Jr. and wife Marcia of Gainesville, FL; and three daughters, Rosemary Adams Sammons and husband Al of Sylvania, GA, Velvet Adams Padgett of Walterboro, and Joanne Adams Sweat and husband Kenny of Cottageville; eight grandchildren, Nicole Williams, Mia Tressler, Allison Brockman, Paul Sammons, Matthew Harrell, Seth Sammons, Heather Hammock, and Eric Bailey and as well as nine great-grandchildren, Timothy, Caleb, Morgan, Noah, Tate, Jonah, Aren, Adam, and Joel.
