George C. McCachren
George C. McCachren, 63, of Lewistown, Pa., died Wednesday, February 4, 2009, at his residence. He was the husband of Lorraine "Lorie" L. (Klein) McCachren, to whom he would have been married 27 years on March 1. Born in Lewistown, Pa., on November 17, 1945, he was the son of the late George C. McCachren Sr., and Margaret C. (Campbell) McCachren Morgan. He was a graduate of Lewistown High School, and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked as a floor technician at janitorial services in Lebanon County, Pa. He was a member of the Milroy American Legion, Lewistown VFW, City Hook & Ladder Social Club, Lewistown; was a Dallas Cowboys and LA Dodgers fan, and loved cats. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Brandon McCachren of Lewistown, Pa.; and was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy McCachren, in 1988. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at 11 a.m. from Grose Funeral Home, 358 W. Washington Ave., Myerstown, Pa. Viewing Wednesday at 10 a.m. Interment at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa.
